Our journey began on January 7, 2015. Since then, we've developed individualized programs to fulfill the needs of our students. Today, we offer classes in any subject for anyone in pre-kindergarten to twelfth grade. When we first opened, we only offered abacus math and English, but now we've established over ten different programs, including high school math courses (Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-calculus, Trigonometry, Calculus), competition prep for MathCounts and spelling bees, and test prep for the ACT, SAT, and PSAT. Now after seven years of operating a tutoring center, we've opened a preschool. Our preschool, Aplus Academy, continues our mission to engage and inspire children. With a strong staff and curriculum, we're ready to serve our community.

DIRECTOR OF APLUS NWA: MS. DHANA VARIKUNTA

Ms. Dhana's career in education first began with her three children: Sai, Pavani, and Srikar. For over ten years, she's worked to help her children find success, and now she wants to do the same for her community. Ms. Dhana has channeled her passion for education into her tutoring center and preschool, where she works to meet every child's needs. In her free time, Ms. Dhana enjoys gardening, cooking, and being with her family.

A member of Haas Hall Academy Bentonville's Class of 2020, Sai is pursuing a business major at Washington University in St. Louis. Haas Hall Academy Bentonville recently instituted an award on her name - the Sai Chittemsetty Annual Award. This award recognizes Sai's service, dedication, and sincerity.

A Scripps National Spelling Bee finalist, Pavani has won numerous accolades for spelling. She fell in love with words at a young age. Now, Pavani coaches young spellers. She is a student at Bentonville West High School. Pavani aspires to pursue a career in the medical field.

A third-place finisher in the National North South Foundation (NSF) Junior Spelling Bee, runner-up in the Arkansas State Spelling Bee, and competitor in Arkansas' State MathCounts Competition, Srikar likes to keep his mind active. He's constantly mastering math concepts and discovering new words. Srikar is a student at Bentonville West High School.

DIRECTOR OF APLUS ACADEMY: MRS. ROBERTA COLLINS

Mrs. Roberta Collins has taught in the Bentonville Public School District for over 20 years. She also has years of experience working with preschoolers. The past couple of years she has worked for Aplus NWA as a head English teacher and is now the director of Aplus Academy.

Mrs. Collins is from Ewing, Illinois. She studied in Illinois and later went to the University of Arkansas. For the past 40 years, she has lived in Bentonville with her husband. In her free time, she enjoys reading, painting, drawing, cooking as well as watching theater. A fun fact about Mrs. Collins is that she taught American Sign Language classes at Illinois State University. She loves teaching kids, and has been a wonderful addition to our team!
